Mr. Pincus served as Vice Chairman of EagleBank and Eagle Bancorp, an $8 billion community business headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland. Prior to joining EagleBank in August 2008, he served as chairman of Fidelity & Trust Financial Corporation (“Fidelity”) which was acquired by EagleBank. He was Chairman of the Board of BB&T Bank, D.C. Metro Region and was Regional President from 1998 to 2002. From 1991 to 1998, Mr. Pincus was President and Chief Executive Officer of Franklin National Bank of Washington, D.C. until its acquisition by BB&T. From 1986 to 1991, Mr. Pincus was regional president of the D.C. Metropolitan region of Sovran Bank until its acquisition by Bank of America. From 1971 to 1986, Mr. Pincus was with D.C. National Bancorp, Inc., where he eventually rose to become President and Chief Executive Officer, prior to its merger with Sovran Bank. Mr. Pincus is a Trustee of the University of Maryland Foundation, Inc. He has a strong background in many facets of the financial services industry, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Pincus has previously been acknowledged by the business community in the metropolitan Washington area as Entrepreneur of the Year, Washingtonian of the Year and was elected to the Washington Business Hall of Fame.

April Young is a Managing Director at Hercules Capital, and is responsible for developing the Company’s venture loan portfolio in the MidAtlantic and Southeast United States.

Prior to joining Hercules, Ms. Young was Managing Director, US at MMVFinancial. She began her venture banking career at Comerica Bank where she served for 10 years as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Mid-Atlantic Technology and Life Sciences Division. Earlier in her career, Ms Young was Executive Director of the Potomac KnowledgeWay Project, and Senior Fellow for Regional Economic Development at George Mason University’s Institute for Public Policy. Prior to that, Ms. Young was the Director of the Virginia Department of Economic Development and also served as Senior Vice President of NVR.

Ms. Young holds bachelors and masters degrees from George Washington University and a Ph.D. from Saint Louis University. She has served as director of many professional organizations including the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association, the Florida Venture Forum, and Greater Philadelphia’s MAC Alliance. She currently serves on a NASDAQ delisting panel, a member of the advisory group of Greater Washington STEM, and as director of several early stage companies.
